[Published earlier today in patreon] The picture of a baby zombie pig man riding a chicken has absolutely nothing to do with this post. It just suits my sense of the ridiculous today.
I finished a new song today! I mentioned in an earlier post that I had joined a songwriter’s group that gives out two prompts per month. “Meet Me at the Labyrinth Plinth” was the first song I wrote for it. I’m hoping to record this new one: “Skydiving Naked” in the next couple of days. (And I’ve got the other April song mostly written too.)
Today will be a bit of a wash as far as recording, because I’m unexpectedly having a crown put in today. Whee. Wesley and I have sorted out who transports Simon to his various things today, and I’ve moved a new piano student to early evening in the hopes I’ll be able to feel my mouth by then. So maybe I’ll track the piano in midi tonight and call today good.
BUT NEW SONG! And it isn’t sad. It’s ridiculous, hopefully humorous, and maybe slightly murderous. (lot’s of ‘ous’es happening in it.) I’ll be performing this new work in C major, which feels like cheating but really isn’t.
And now, back to chords for the bridge.
Happy weekend y’all! <3 <3 <3Mary
