Hello World!
Simon is ensconced in school up in Ohio, and watching the eclipse the following Monday was an amazing experience! I’ve loved looking at everyone’s photos. My attempted selfie with solar eclipse was a sad failure as you can see.
Anyway, I am teaching several music appreciation classes at Calhoun Community College this semester and some group music lessons at the Center for Life Long Learning in Athens. It’s a busy time, and my piano students have started trickling back in for lessons too! I’m still actively working on Patreon things. One of our friends will be visiting, and we are going to be knocking out those last few video shots for Coffee With a Friend.” Torrey helped me finish my video last year for “M is for Magic Missile.” This is becoming a tradition!
I would like to share a couple of links. This first is to wonderful article Gabrielle Gold wrote in her Featured Filker series about me and my music. Thank you, Gabrielle! I am tickled to be honored this way! Featured Filker #3: Dr. Mary Crowell.
The other link I am sharing is to my newest recording, “Agatha Crane.” You can listen to it streaming here on my Patreon page. My patrons get to have downloads of my music and a bit more insight into what inspires each song. My family and local friend like to play Mansions of Madness, 2nd edition. A Lovecraftian cooperative board game with an associated app that acts as your game master/referee while the group of you cooperatively play various investigators. My favorite character is Agatha Crane. I think she is inspired by Agatha Christie. She’s great, so check out my goofy little song about her.
